Windpower in Carriacou

HI folks
am a just a windpower user now as i am trying to retire
was in the wind install biz and powered my house in Gloucester Ma.
with my 1937 jacobs short, rewond in the 60's to 110v 1980-90
now it's up and spinnin here in the trade winds
peak output so far 22A@121V

my island is serious about some windpower here and i have ben lobbing the local
power co. for a farm of small plants insted they want 1 huge plant
we are a very small island pop=5000, 13sq mi

so new newby here and very interested in chat with old Jacobs owners

Welcome to Green Power Talk!
You're a lucky guy: Living on a Caribbean island, and having a Jacobs turbine... :love:
Those are nice turbines, very well made. Still pretty much the standard when it comes to small turbine reliability.

I don't know how many other Jacobs owners there are on the forum, it's been a bit quiet here lately. Just round some up and tell them to come over here to discuss their Jacobs'.

When you have some time, please post a picture of the turbine (and the surroundings, I have a thing for tropical islands, maybe due to living in Canada where we get -35C/F in winter).
