hi cor looks good . is it true you can run the windspot without a load and wil not cross 400v . if so it must be realy safe .. i have a friend who thinking of buying one . what were going to do is buy buy the top part (turbine) make our own mono pole and use a eurora 6kw inverter . theres a guy here in ireland selling us the turbine and control box for 5000euro how does that sound . did you hear of any problems with the windspot thanks sb

Shaun
The windspot is a trouble free machine
It becomes delivered including controller and dumpload
I think the dumploader is not realy needed
But is a extra safety
In normal operation also when the turbine runs with no load
The dump does not work
Only when the pitch control should fail ,what is almost impossible, then the dump comes to work
Best is to buy the 3.5 type this one gives you
4200 watts in high wind
The aurora is the best choice
The price you mention is a fair price ex vat and including transport
For the 3.5

When building your own tower
Order the top flange with the windspot
50 euro saves you a lot of work

Shaun,
about the price
remember buying the generatorhead only
is just a part of the total cost
the tower and foundation together with the Aurora
and then all the labour makes a significant part of your total investment
also cables will be needed.
the easy and good way to cable the turbine insite the tower can be done
with MC4 connectors and 6mm2 solarcable
make sure to ty up the cable on the top pipe
so it will not hang on the turbine and the connectors

look at the windspot running with no load
