Question,

In your opinion, what is the best Wind Turbine Bearing manufacturer.

SKF is widely used (beware that many turbines of the eastern-Asian persuasion will have bearings in them stamped "SKF" that actually aren't).

Hi Rob,

I think I,ll scrap the Chinese spare bearings I have and go with SKF. You brought up a good point about the counterfeits. I will buy them from a SKF Distributor in my area.

Hello,
There are many Bearing Manufacturers and many Models of bearings, such as type of seals, number of seals, clearance in the Bearing, material used in the Balls and Bearing shells. All play a factor in Bearing life.
In some cases the physical bearing size was not sized for the load or life span expected (the cheaper the Turbine the cheaper the parts).
If you give me the bearing number I can tell you more about options.

Hello Jeff,
Thanks for your response. I took Rob's advice and bought SKF Bearings. The bearings I use are 6306-2RS and 6305-2RS. They mount in a Exmork 2KW Turbine. I purchased two Turbines few years ago mainly for redundancy but I wanted to inspect and replace wear parts such as bearings on a yearly basis, hoping to increase the longevity of the unit.

Hey Jeff,
SKF bearing ensure life span for Hummer wind turbines, which are mutil-certified with high-quality and advanced SCF generator technology. Recommend Hummer.
