I picked up a couple of used solar hot water heaters a few years ago. The brand name is Qsol and they were made/distributed out of Manotick, Ontario.

I've looked for some literature online but I can't find anything. I want to run them passively on the roof but the in and out lines are both at the same end which makes me think that a mechanical pump might be needed to run the water through instead of a thermal siphon.

I could take one apart (I hope) to see how the plumbing is configured but I thought I would ask to see if anyone has heard of them and knows how they are configured. thx Dwight

Dwight, seems that same Manotick company also produced hot water panels under the "Nortec" name. This came up a few years ago in an earlier thread: http://www.greenpowertalk.org/showthread.php?t=281

There's not much more info in there, but maybe this brand name will turn up more via Google.
