Hello.
I am trying to make alive 18kW asynchronus wind turbine. It is here in eastern Ireland but not moving since 10 years and never connected ! (cables discovered ). We were able to grease main bearings and rotate rotor - sucess !

but ...

I have power on to yaw motor and nothing ... stuck (you can hear it buzzing when power on). I have climbed turbine yeasterday and I can see no YAW BEARING !

here is link to pictures (https://plus.google.com/photos/116413123506663905974/albums/6053775852843027953) on the last few you can see Yaw sprockets but I just do not know how this can move... (looks like turbine head is ended with big sprocket what is just bolted to top flange of the mast ).

the story is that a big sprocket is just one piece of metal together with turbine head
I do not see space for any bearing here
