Want to say Hello to all sun worshiper.

Been working on my solar hot water panels since 2004.Sort of glad I did before the price of copper went through the roof.
I have four- 4 by 8 panels with four 55 gal drums that is used for heat storage

Always making modifcations to see what happens.

when the weather breaks,i plan on making the all four panels 4 by 12 foot.Want increase the panel surface.I figure I should see a difference.

Right now,the surface is only 120 sq ft.With change,it would give me 190 sq ft.
So,I retired in 2004,working PT to cover my projects

Welcome John!

What do you use the hot water for? House heating? Hot (tab) water? How much of your hot water needs does the 120 sq. ft. provide of that? York PA is probably not all that different from where I'm at in terms of the number of sun-hours. I'm curious, in part because I'm thinking of adding solar hot water to my house...

What about in the winter,no hot water? There must be a lower temperature at which the hot water pannels cannott heat water, what would that be.?
