Hi Rob, all,

been using the Aurora installer software now for a few weeks and really enjoying tinkering around with it. Altered the 'air gap' on my axial flux turbine and have been playing around with the power curves. Just got a couple of resistors to cure the transient voltage issue during lulls and all was peachy. However, last night my 'puter went a little 'pear shaped' and I had to uninstall then reinstall the software and since then I've not been able to fully communicate with the inverter. I can connect OK but after a minute or so get a communication error in a dialogue box asking me if I want to 'try again'.

Any ideas? gonna uninstall then re install again tomorrow cos it's my bedtime now and I've gotta be up early. Was kinda hoping you chaps in a different time zone might have some ideas, me I'm pure wrecked :-)

Cheers, Paul

Paul, in all likelihood it's the USB drivers that create the virtual serial port. Probably some conflict with other drivers. Reinstall may help.

You can also look at Texas Instrument's Web site if they have updated drivers (those were not made by Power-One, they are the TI drivers developed to make it easier to talk to the DSPs inside the inverter, also made by TI). These are the TUSB3410 virtual COM-port drivers.

Hi Rob,

when I was trying to communicate the other night prior to posting it was pretty fresh and gusty. I tried again during more steady winds, it seemed OK and I loaded another table. Had another go this morning and it seems OK, I got the error message just once, again it was during a gust but I just closed the 'wind configuration' window and reopened it and it was fine again.

Thanks for all your help, Paul
