Lenz Wind Turbine Questions

Hi, I am working on building this wind turbine based on these plans. The tutorial seems pretty simple and I have all the parts for only the turbine.

Could this turbine work with a car alternator? I basically have no knowledge in dealing with this stuff. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

John, maybe....
I notice from a cursory look at the plans that there is gearing between the turbine and alternator. Car alternators need very high RPMs to work. If you can gear it to where it's within the working range of a car alternator it should be OK.
