Power Boost

Hi guys, happy to join your forum!

I'm doing some research on the different power boost options that the OEMs offer, like the Gamesa Energy Thrust or the Siemens Power Boost.

My questions is do you know under what environmental conditions the claimed gains can be achieved? They claim, say, 5% gains on production, but how is this 5% legally underpinned... What if it's just 3%...

Generally all I'm coming across are product brochures that provide more questions than answers? Are the legal perspectives arranged on a project by project basis?

You'll notice how in the brochures the claims are 'up to x%'. 'Up to' includes zero so legally there is no false advertising if a specific implementation sees no benefit.

Its like those gas line cow magnets that claim up to 25% improved mileage (where the benefit comes from tuning up your old clunker as mandated while the magnet does nothing).
