Welcome to the forum!
Do you have a name? We try to go by first/last name on this forum. It helps keep things more civilized when people don't hide behind a 'handle'.

Your post is a tough one for me as a moderator. The forum rules do not allow blatant advertisements, or promoting one's business. On the other hand, I'm not unsympathetic when it comes to a small business that makes, by the looks of it, a decent wind turbine, and that is clearly not selling snake-oil.

From the movie, it looks like you're using an induction motor as a generator, and so avoid the whole issue of PMG, rectifier, inverter, MPPT table etc. It certainly saves quite a bit in cost. Downside would be that you only hit the right TSR for your blades at one wind speed, and run less efficient over the remainder of the wind speed range. With the huge wind resource you have in Denmark you may not care about that. You also need a gearbox, adding cost, complexity, and a serious point of failure.

Looks like a nicely over-built machine, that can handle some abuse. What do you use to protect the turbine at high wind speeds? Does it have a brake?

In Denmark, what does a full installation typically cost of this 10kW machine? I'm curious. Over here, a 10kW turbine nowadays, installed, with tower, would likely run about US$60,000. Possibly a bit more.

Your video mentions a 20-year life expectancy, and it sounds like you've been in business well over 20 years now. How do you see this working out? I've personally never seen a small (under 20kW) wind turbine go for anywhere near 20 years with just routine maintenance. Heck, I don't know many that lasted more than 5 years without major parts failing and needing replacement. Most wind turbine owners forget about the maintenance cost, which can eat up much of the value of the produced energy in a hurry.

Hello Rob

Thanks for reply.

I will change my name etc. right away!

From you post i can see you know alot about windturbine´s and the issues that we are working with.

The windturbine is as you saw in the movie only using 1/3 of it´s constructual capacaty gearbox are an 33kw industrial gearbox we know can handle the wind and power

We have hydraulik failsafe brake with to caliper made in USA. as you can see on the photo we have the brakes on the right side of gearboks and generator :-).

About the experience we have windtubine´s that have been running since late 1970´ i will post af picture later, they are build to last. That´s also why our maintenance cost are very low after 2 years the first service is done and the cost i usually 500 dollar. infact people can do it by them self.

Wings are stall regulated and thats how we handle the max power output, it also have tip brake that will engage when wings go above 118 rpm as a second safety

About the generator it´s a asyncron 3x400 v 50 Hz and it´s working really fine here in Denmark.
Here in Denmark a 10 kw. windturbine include foundation, electrical work, tower windturbine, running on site when we leave and 2 years of warranty will cost aprox. 45.000 us dollars + tax

If you have further question, i will answer right away, and if anyone would like to help me introduce our windturbine i Canada we could take it on Email.
