Hi all, Im new to this forum so here it goes, I'm looking to convert a Toshiba Induction Motor in to a PM Generator. Current thinking is reducing the rotor diameter to allow installation of (x) amount of permanent magnets. these will have to be aligned with the stator windings. My Motor is rated to 415v 1440rpm I believe this makes it 4 pole and I would want to run a delta configuration.
Does anyone have any experience in this? Im still working on the PM design for the rotor.
