studying renewable energies

Hello, i have been studying a certificate in renewable energies that will take me around a year.

My hope is to apply for this industry in a year or two (i am an oil engineeer), what extra studies would you recommend for me to better prepare to apply for jobs in this industry?

I've changed careers a few times so here is what I would advise. Get on a career site and look for that you would love to get someday if you were qualified. Then determine how to gain experience in those areas through classes or better yet write a paper or article on the topic and find local people ( via linkedIn) you can interview in person. Ask them the best way to get this experience, book, class, introduce your to someone else, or maybe they have an internship to offer.

Remember that people love to talk about themselves and they like to help others so don't be afraid to ask.
