Hello everyone,
I'm confused in understanding fluid dynamics phenomena regarding to the aerodynamic performance of a wind turbine.
For example:
1. How can be described theories or models or methods used to design Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine, HAWT blades, and HAWT blade's airfoils? Do these theories differ from each other?; And how many theories or models now exist and which are those starting from the simple Betz' theory?
2. How can be described these phenomena, for exmple von Karman vortex sheet, Helmholtz, Lilienthal, Kutta-Condition, Kutta-Joukowski, Tollmien-Schlichting, Viterna, Mongomery, and some others, where can these phenomena commonly be encountered?
3. Lastly, how to find the appropriate formula for calculating the blade's chord length distribution, taper ratio, and angle of twist that takes into account correction factors?
