need help....I LIVE OFF GRID IN THE CALIFORNIA TAHOE NATIONAL FOREST...HAVE A BALDORE 6 CYLINDER VORTEX 4.3 MOTOR....HAVE 9 SOLAR PANELS UP, 305 WATTS I BELIEVE, XANTRAX SOLAR CONTROLLER...XANTRAX INVERTER 6048....HAVE A FORKLIFT BATTERY 2-24-85-19 765 AMP....
HERE ARE MY ISSUES.....MY BALDORE IS NOT RUNNING, IT IS PROPANE, WORKED GREAT 4 YEARS,....HAS A MEC 2 MICRO PROCESSOR...FIRST IT ACTED LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING PROPANE, ACTED LIKE IT WAS STARVING FOR FUEL, WOULD START, AND RUN, AND THEN WOULD DIE...SO I CHANGED THE REGULATOR, HAS PLENTY OF PROPANE IN AN 1,800 GALLON TANK...HAS PROPANE GOING THROUGH THE REGULATOR, AND OUT THE BACKSIDE OF REGULATOR, HAVE NO WAY TO TEST PROPANE PRESSURE...BUT THERE IS DEFINITE FLOW....I DID HAVE SPARK AT THE SPARK PLUG, NOW THERE IS NO SPARK...I CHECKED THE MAGNETIC PICKUP SWITCH FOR CONTINUITY, AND HAD NO CONTINUITY, SO REPLACED IT WITH A NEW SWITCH...WAS TOLD TO SCREW IT DOWN, UNTIL IT HIT THE FLY WHEEL, AND BACK IT OFF A 1/2 TURN....WHICH I DID DO...AND IT WILL STILL NOT START...BUT, WAS TURNING OVER...SO I HAD A AN "EXPERT" GENERATOR REPAIR PERSON COME OUT, WAS VERY EXPENSIVE...AND HE DID NOT UNPLUG THE MEC PROCESSOR FROM THE BATTERY, NOW THE MEC PROCESSOR LIGHTS WILL NOT COME ON...LOOKS LIKE THE MEC 2 PROCESSOR MAYBE FRYED.....CALLED THOMPSON ELECTRIC, AND THEY TOLD ME THE MEC PROCESSOR MIGHT BE SALVAGED BY CUTTING A WIRE....I AM NOT SURE WHAT WIRE TO CUT...SO AM HAVING ANOTHER PERSON WHO IS INTO ELECTRONICS FROM THE SAME GENERATOR REPAIR CO, COME OUT THIS COMING MONDAY TO LOOK AT MY PROBLEMS...THERE IS NO FIRE GETTING TO SPARK PLUGS NOW....ANY SUGGESTIONS....?.....JERRY
