Hello Members,

I need some help regarding the connectivity diagram for vertical axis wind turbines.

Recently I have purchased 3 Nos. Maglev Vertical Axis Wind Turbine CG-VWT-400W-S 24V with FW06-24 Charge Controllers from China.

I have installed these three units at one of our site as an experiment, the installation level is 10th floor of the building (100 ft approx from the Ground level) the average wind speed on the location is 5 to 7 m/sec on which the charge controller is showing DC voltage in between 24 to 28 V but the problem is that the charge controller is not charging the D.C batteries connected with it and when we are checking the Amperes on battery side it is giving 0A reading.

Kindly assist me in the installation connectivity diagram, minimum wind speed to charge the battery.

Regards.

Hi Hammad,

Charging a 24V battery bank takes Voltages up to about 30 Volt, depending on temperature and how full the batteries are. Also, if the batteries are full the charge controller will stop charging, another reason you can see 0 Amp.

Did you try putting a load on the batteries so the Voltage drops, and then check if the charge controller/turbine charges?
