Hi all,

My first post here, new member :-)

We live off grid, in Thailand close to Laos and Cambodia.
Closed connection to the grid is 8km away, and if we want, we have to pay ourselves....

At this moment we have 18 * 335w polycrystal panels.
And 4 x 800 watt wind.

It grown as we go, same as our strawbale house..
(Reason for straw bale is the insulation, for price and building time we should have used different materials...
Workers are cheap here, but building straw goes slow and making clay Even more...)

Anyway.
Our wind tower / water tower used to be free standing, but it also was the only location suitable for foundation.

As a result our house is in front of the water tower.

The wind turbines are 3 to 6 meters above the roof, but I noticed a lot of turbulence.

They spin around .... Having a hard time to stay in the wind direction.

I solved this a little to make the tail vin bigger.

After reading many posts, I am aware I need to relocate them.

What does keep me puzzled..
When my solar chargers reach 58 volts (that is what it tells me what the power off the array is), the wind turbines stop spinning.

While the 58 volts is a good charge voltage, it does not state that my array is full!
I have 48 volt array, 800ah. Lead-acid.

How can I let my wind turbine controller know it does not need to stop at 58 volts but like 59?

I'm not afraid that it will overcharge the batteries.
They are small 130 cm wide wind turbines with average locally low wind speed...

If I would get 500 watts from the 4 x rated 800 watts, I already would be happy :-)

And 500 watts charging won't damage a 38.000 battery array. Lol.

My question:
How can I keep having the safety of automatic brake and ignore the voltage of the array? (Solar production)

I have 4 x
48v Charge controller (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/P3Kkhgy)

And 4
wind turbine (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/00Hxp2Y)

The controllers have a switch to turn the turbine brakes on.
I really like this.

The rest of the electronics..
I have no idea how it works :-)
(Ok little idea, I know 3 phase, and how it works.
I've made several PCB for different projects, so I do know how to read schematic diagram/ drawing)

To buy a different controller...
Not yet on my list.

Expensive enough already.

I prefer to modify (if possible)

Any ideas?

Thanks!
