This is something I have been considering.

Image 2 of those cube 275 gallon food storage containers, one on a shelf above the other.

The bottom container drains out the bottom to an electric water pump. The water is pumped to a hydro turbine generator. The water exits the turbine into the top of the second container. The bottom of the 2nd container drains into the top of the bottom container, completing the cycle.

Once started it should generate enough electricity to not only supply a single home but, sell back to the grid.

Any thoughts on this :playball:

Only if you've got an extension cord running off the neighbour's utility service for the pump. High School physics...2nd law of thermodynamics I think. And from Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy...There's no such thing as a free lunch!

Don't forget to bring a towel as well! Especially with all this water involved.
(That too is mentioned in the Hitchhiker's Guide)

More efficient to just run your house off of the extension cord you're using to steal electricity from the neighbour... fewer conversion stage losses.

But so much less fun!
