Hi
I have a 500 watt wind turbine that is only producing 90 watts in high winds. When I used it in February and March it was producing 400 watts. When I used in march the brake was engaging because batteries were fully charged. I heard this could ruin the turbine if brakes were constantly coming on so I tied blades so it would not turn. I bought a diversion load and tried it 2 days ago and it is not producing enough power to fully charge batteries.
Could it be damaged from brake repeatedly coming on.
Could it be bad wires
Could it be corrosion from sitting idle for 6 months
Could be bad slip ring
Any advise would be helpful
Thanks
