I think we need ALOT of alternatives to survive this: Note the price increases since year 2004. :(

ps yes, i noticed the dyed diesel price, the propane price went up substantially. Luckily i don't have a "heating" bill as such. The diesel and some gas bring in the firewood (spouse also indispensible too)

Meanwhile in Canada: The tar sand oil business is still raking in billions in government subsidies (http://www.sierraclub.ca/national/programs/atmosphere-energy/energy-onslaught/campaign.shtml?x=307) despite record profits (and asking for more). We live in a strange world...

Therefore the driving force has arrived to Go solar whenever and wherever possible as the paybacks are there much faster now .
