Hello folks, Darryl here from Manitoba, Canada:bigsmile: I'm a journeyman blacksmith by trade (railroad), just starting to get in to R.E stuff. I've got a couple projects in mind and I usually like to start with the hardest ones first:D.
I plan on doing a 15hp 3 ph 575vac 60hz 4 pole induction motor conversion and run it with a small diesel engine running biodiesel or svo. The coils are burnt, but the bearings are brand new,The goal here is to produce 240vac60hz to run household and shop as backup. I expect it'll be a couple year project, I imagine, starting is the hardest part. It's possible it may also end up being a vawt, but time will tell. I look forward to hearing from some of you conversion enthusiasts.
