Help! thermosyphon or batch.

Hi Guys, I'm going to set up a solar hot water system for my cabin in the woods. It's gravity feed. I know some of the pros and cons of using a flat panel collector and thermosyphon technics versus a simple batch collector but I'd like to get feedback from someone who has practical experience doing it. Will there be a huge difference between the two methods? Given the remote location, should I just go with the easiest-tank painted black in an insulated box with a glass top?
